The way a sheet feeder discharges material differs from the roll-fed version. The roll-fed version uses a feed wheel to advance tape continuously, while the sheet version stacks pre-cut single sheets in a magazine and peels them out one by one by pulling the liner paper, with a feeding cycle of 2~3 s. This structure means “stability” depends not only on the motor, but also on how the magazine, platform and detection work together.

One Thing to Measure First: The Thickness of a Single Sheet Including Liner

All three models have a magazine depth of 150 mm, but how many sheets can be stacked inside is not given in the parameter table. It depends on the thickness of your single sheet plus the liner. Before loading, take ten sheets, stack them and measure the total thickness, divide by ten, then divide 150 mm by that number to get the theoretical upper limit; in practice you need to leave space for the pressing mechanism and the magazine wall, so the actual stack count is determined by on-site material trials. This number is used for scheduling replenishment shifts, not as an equipment parameter.

Choosing the Wrong Anti-Stick Platform Causes Occasional Discharge Position Drift

For incoming material with the adhesive side facing up, it can be caught by the platform at the moment of peeling. The platform is available in three options: Teflon coating, white silicone, and red silicone, chosen according to the adhesive properties of the incoming material. The symptom of a wrong choice is not an error every time, but a slight position drift every few dozen sheets, part of which is compensated by fiber-optic detection, and the remaining part becomes throw-away material. This kind of problem cannot be seen during the acceptance days; the equipment looks normal, but the yield does not match.

Servo Drive Plus Two-Stage Adjustment Is the Main Source of Stability

Discharge is driven by a servo motor, the action is electric plus pneumatic, and the peeling method is push-forward. Position adjustment is divided into two stages: fiber-optic detection first brings the material to the discharge position, then the touchscreen makes fine adjustments, with a feeding speed adjustable from 1~100. The placement accuracy of ±0.2 mm and angle accuracy of ±0.5° are the specifications under the premise that all these are normal. The production record counts from 0~9999999 times, so you can compare the actual discharge count with the placement count in the program by shift; if the two numbers do not match, check the feeding stage.

How to Match the Cycle

The feeding cycle of the sheet version is 2~3 s, slower than the 0.1~2 s of the roll-fed version. This is determined by the magazine-type structure and cannot be changed by adjusting parameters. There are two operating modes: in online mode the feeder is triggered by the placement machine’s feed signal, and the cycle follows the production line; in standalone mode it discharges on its own cycle, suitable for independent label peeling stations. Which to choose depends first on whether the station is mounted on a placement machine or is a separate table.

The Range of the Three Models

Model Peeling Width Liner Length Magazine Depth Body L×W×H (mm) Net Weight
PLF-100 ≤105 mm 50~230 mm 150 mm 970×260×260 40 kg
PLF-200 ≤200 mm 50~300 mm 150 mm 970×320×260 50 kg
PLF-300 ≤300 mm 50~350 mm 150 mm 970×483×260 60 kg

The body length and height of all three models are 970 mm and 260 mm, and the width dimension changes with the peeling width. Incoming material dimensions should first fall within the peeling width and liner length, then the model is selected.

Which Production Lines Have This Kind of Station

The incoming material premise of a sheet feeder is material that is not easy to bend, and on site it is commonly found in FPC stiffener steel sheets, sheet-shaped auxiliary materials, and placement stations on 3C structural and packaging lines. Public 3C auxiliary material placement materials from 2026, when discussing such processes, list “difficulty of changeover for multiple varieties” and “poor consistency of manual placement” as the main pain points, and the focus of flexible placement equipment is also on changeover and consistency—the sheet feeder addresses the same thing, delivering stacked sheets to the pick-up point at a fixed position and a fixed rhythm.

What to Report to Us Is Three Items

The size and thickness of the single sheet, the processing volume per shift, and whether the station is beside a placement machine or an independent label peeling table. When all three are provided, the reply gives a specific model plus feeding specifications. See the full series at sheet label feeder, and the wide version at PLF-300.
