What it is

The non-standard line covers stations that are not catalogue items: labeling cells for unusual part geometry, assembly stations, inspection stations, and lines that combine several of those.

There is no fixed model table for this line. What is fixed is the information needed to quote: the part, the process, the takt, the accuracy, the interface to the neighbouring machine, and the site constraints.

What we need from you

Item Why it matters
Part: size envelope, weight, material, how it arrives (loose, arranged, in a carrier) Sets the handling concept
Process steps and their order Sets the station count
Takt requirement and target uptime Sets the drive and control choice
Positioning accuracy and repeatability Sets the motion platform
Loading and unloading method, interface to adjacent equipment Sets the infeed and outfeed
Vision and inspection requirements, traceability expectations Sets the camera and data layer
MES integration and the fields to upload Sets the software scope
Floor space, ceiling height, floor loading Sets the frame
Power, air, extraction Sets the utility package
Safety and compliance requirements Sets guarding and certification scope
Acceptance criteria and method Written into the contract

Ranges we can work to

Station count and cycle time are project-specific. As a starting point for discussion, the requirements table above is what we work from.

Contact us with the part and the process and we will come back with a proposed station layout.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of stations does the non-standard automation line cover?

Stations that are not catalogue items: labeling cells for unusual part geometry, assembly stations, inspection stations, and lines that combine several of those. There is no fixed model table for this line; station count, cycle time and accuracy are set by the project brief rather than by a catalogue number.

What information do you need to quote a custom labeling station?

We need the part envelope, weight and material, and how it arrives, plus the process steps and their order. Takt requirement, target uptime, positioning accuracy and repeatability set the motion platform. Loading method, interface to adjacent equipment, vision and traceability needs, and the MES fields to upload set the infeed and data layer. Floor space, power, air, extraction and safety requirements complete the brief.

Can you build a labeling cell for a part that is not a PCB?

Yes. The non-standard line exists for parts that do not fit a catalogue, including non-PCB work. Send the part size envelope, how it arrives, the process steps and the takt, and we will come back with a proposed station layout. Where a reel-fed feeder or a labeling machine already covers the job, we will say so instead.
