Most selection calls arrive as a label size and a machine brand. That is enough for the feeding parameters, but not for the structure. Two customers with the same 60 mm label may need different hardware, because the structure follows three things: how the material arrives, which face of the label has to come up, and what the feeder is bolted to.

The four structures

Structure Model prefix Mounted on Stripping Label length Cycle
Classic LFS-… Custom labeling machines, automation rigs Front push L2–40 mm 0.1–2 s
Upscreen LFSID-…S Custom placement machines, automation Front push L2–40 mm 0.1–2 s
Retract LFHZXB-… Automation, custom builds Retract, adhesive down L10–70 mm 0.1–2 s
Sheet PLF-… Placement machines, automation Front push Die-cut sheets 2–3 s

The first three share the reel mechanism and the same common ratings: ±0.2 mm placement accuracy, ±0.5° angle accuracy, DC 24 V with 80 mA average draw and 1 A peak, servo drive, fibre-optic sensor plus touchscreen fine adjustment. The sheet feeder is a different mechanism — backing paper and a magazine, no reel — and its drive is electric plus pneumatic.

Reel or sheet comes first

If the material is supplied as a roll, it is a reel feeder. If it arrives as die-cut pieces on backing paper, or cannot be re-reeled without damaging the adhesive, it is a sheet feeder. The two are separate families, and the selection tables are organised differently because of it.

Sheet models are specified by peeling width and backing paper length rather than label width: PLF-100 takes a backing paper length of 50–230 mm and a peeling width up to 105 mm, PLF-200 goes to 300 mm paper and 200 mm peeling width, and PLF-300 to 350 mm paper and 300 mm peeling width. Magazine depth is 150 mm across the range, and machine weights are 40, 50 and 60 kg. Both linked and standalone operation are available.

Adhesive side decides the retract model

LFHZXB-60, LFHZXB-100 and LFHZXB-150 present the label adhesive side down. Label width coverage matches the reel range at 2–58, 2–98 and 2–148 mm, but the label length range is L10–70 mm — the same table that lists L2–40 mm for the front-push reel models. Single row, single fibre sensor. If the label has to be handed to the next station with the adhesive facing down, this is the family; if it is picked from above with the adhesive facing up, a front-push unit is the shorter route. Browse the range on the label feeder line page.

What the feeder is bolted to decides the rest

Here the split is between the classic body and the upscreen body.

The classic LFS range is built for custom labeling machines and automation rigs: LFS-60 at 450 × 100 × 340 mm and 6.2 kg, LFS-100 at 450 × 150 × 340 mm and 8 kg, LFS-150 at 450 × 200 × 340 mm and 9.5 kg, covering label widths of 5–58, 5–98 and 5–148 mm with column counts up to 12.

The upscreen LFSID-…S range fits a placement machine station or a custom rig where the operator sets parameters from above, since the screen faces up. It holds the same 450 mm body length but is thinner in one direction and taller: LFSID-100S is 450 × 135 × 320 mm at 8 kg with 5–98 mm label width and up to 8 columns, while LFSID-200S reaches 5–198 mm and 14 columns and LFSID-250S reaches 5–248 mm and 14 columns. Loading direction is fixed at order time — L for left, R for right — and it appears in the model code.

For the standard LFSID-100S unit, see the product page.

Three questions in the quote

Bring these and the structure settles in one pass: how the material arrives (reel or die-cut on backing paper), which face the adhesive has to be on when the label is presented, and what the feeder mounts to (placement machine station, or a custom machine with its own screen position). Label width, length, column count and fibre count then follow from the part itself.

One number worth separating early: the feeder draws 80 mA average with a 1 A peak, but the DC 24 V supply has to deliver more than 2 A. Those are different figures for different purposes, and the supply rating is what affects the panel.

Every unit carries a one-year warranty, and the parameter list is set on the touchscreen in Chinese or English.
